The petrochemical plant runs day and night, 24/7 a year. The plants, which are normally designed to last 25 to 30 years, demand constant maintenance and upkeep. As part of the routine maintenance, these facilities are periodically shut down for major planned overhaul and development work, commonly known as turnaround and maintenance. The primary objective of plant turnaround maintenance is to revitalize, maintain, and improve the plants to ensure optimal and efficient performance. Plant turnaround maintenance covers activities such as inspection, overhaul, modification, and the installation of new parts or equipment. Taking advantage of the plant shutdown, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and plant cleaning are also carried out. In Petrochemical plant each system consists of various piping, vessels, tanks, boilers and reactors a challenge during Turnaround. The efficient management of Schedule for Turnaround is necessary because of the packed schedule and budgets. Any failures due to incompetent personnel are highly undesirable in a Turnaround time.

Despite a series of inspections and assessments that are usually carried out prior to the turnaround event, the actual condition of the equipment simply cannot be determined until they are actually opened and inspected. Cutech team with long history of experience and high technical competence in Turnaround Inspections has returned from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after successfully completing Turnaround inspection of major Petrochemical plant. Cutech Inspection team included Static, Rotating, Instrumentation and Electrical Inspectors. The team of inspectors were involved in almost all the equipment ranging from Reactors, Boilers, Flare, Vessels, Cooling Towers, Gas Turbine, Compressors and Valves.
