Cutech has yet again been successful in fulfilling its clients’ needs for the completion of challenging and prominent PAUT (Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing) projects for SA International, Egypt. Phased Array technology enables generation of an ultrasonic beam where parameters such as angle, focal distance, and focal point size are controlled through software. Furthermore, this beam can be multiplexed over a large array.

 We, at Cutech, consistently aim at delivering high quality, safe and timely delivery of projects. Our team encountered some challenges during the course of the PAUT project due to the presence of some critical joints as part of the in-service pressure vessels in addition to the typical joints, yet successfully completed the project as per client’s requirements.

An in-service pressure vessel could consist of critical transitional joints like T – joints - Hi-low (80mm to 40mm) joints which make it challenging to carry out the test or produce satisfactory or timely results. However, by means of applying thorough testing procedures and expert knowledge, the team accomplished the intent of the project with highly satisfied results. Aside from carrying out the test, the team was commended for producing a comprehensive test report that involves writing procedures as per applicable codes & in relevance with design of calibration blocks, sorting out, scanning plans and performing a methodical interpretation of results. Our lucid presentation of critical findings in reports sets a new standard in producing comprehensive reports.
